Dehradun : Due to leakage of cooking gas in a two-storey residential building on April 6, 2023 at around 04 pm in Main Bazar Tuni, Tehsil Tuni, 04 died in the incident due to cylinder explosion. The children died. Among the dead, Adhira, daughter Vikesh aged about 2 years and 6 months, resident of Parala Dhargarhi, Tehsil Tuni Dehradun. Sijal’s daughter Vikesh aged about 2 years 6 months, resident of Parala Thargarhi, Tehsil Tuni Dehradun. Samridhi daughter Jailal, aged 9 years, resident of Vikrad Tehsil Nehruya, Himachal Pradesh. Sonam daughter Trilok, aged 9 years, resident of Nunas Tehsil Tuni Dehradun. District Administration, Police Team, Police Station Tuni Fire Service Tuni and Himachal, SDRF Team Mori (Uttarkashi) 108 Ambulance Service reached the spot and took relief and rescue action. Local villagers/residents also cooperated in the relief work.
The District Magistrate ordered a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
